Magno Caliman – Live coding

This workshop is for those wanting to experiment with the basics of coding while creating interactive sounds and visuals. With a totally hands-on approach, we will explore programming languages that will allow us to develop our own custom synthesizers, create a generative drum machine/sampler, and animate a user-controled interactive visual.

We will use programming environments developed specifically for a usage in the context of the arts, in a way that you can play the code as if it were a musical instrument! Like [here](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7W4yTXsTavQ) and [here](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ix2b_qFYfAA).

There are no pre-requisites, and no prior programming or audio knowledge is required.

What you should bring:

A computer with [SonicPi], [SuperCollider] and [Processing]
